15-Minute Herb-Crusted Tofu Steaks

Instructions

  • Press extra-firm tofu, then cut it into thick slices or “steaks.” Brush each piece with a little olive oil, then sprinkle with dried Italian herbs, garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  • Air fry at 400°F for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway, until the edges are golden and crisp while the centers stay tender.
  • The tofu soaks up the lemon herb flavor beautifully and turns into a hearty, protein-rich main that feels much more special than the effort it takes.

Notes

This is an easy go-to for busy nights when you want something light but still filling. Serve it with roasted vegetables, a simple green salad, or over grains like quinoa or rice. Leftovers also reheat well in the air fryer, which makes this a great option for meal prep.
