Minty Lime Mojito Mocktail
A crisp, mint-forward glass is the easiest way I know to reset after a long day. It feels light, bright, and just fancy enough to make you pause. This is the ultimate cool-down when you want something clean without any booze.
- Fresh mint — a generous handful
- Lime juice — about 1 ounce
- Sugar or simple syrup — to taste
- Soda water or plain sparkling water
- Plenty of ice
Gently bruise the mint between your palms or with a muddler. You want oils released, not shredded leaves. If mint gets torn, it can taste bitter.
Start with mint, lime, and syrup in the glass. Press lightly to wake the mint. Add ice, then top with soda water to keep it fizzy.
Flavor twists you can try Try a pomegranate twist for a jewel-toned version. Or swap one lime for a clementine wedge. Add basil or a rosemary sprig for extra herbal depth, great if you’re making a pitcher for a small party.
To adjust sweetness: add more syrup. To make it tarter: squeeze extra lime. For a cleaner look when batching, muddle gently and strain into the pitcher.
