Sweet Potato Fries with Spicy Vegan Aioli

Tender-on-the-inside, crisp-on-the-edges sweet potato fries with a simple spicy vegan dipping sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners, game days, or snacking.

Instructions

  • Cut sweet potatoes into fry shapes that are roughly the same size so they cook evenly. Toss with a small amount of oil, salt, pepper, and paprika until lightly coated.
  • Spread the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed so they crisp instead of steam. Air fry at 380°F for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice during cooking, until the fries are tender inside and crisp on the edges.
  • While the fries cook, stir together vegan mayo, lime juice, garlic powder, and your favorite hot sauce to make a quick spicy vegan aioli.

Notes

These fries are especially good when you want something comforting but still a little lighter. The aioli adds just enough kick without overpowering the natural sweetness of the sweet potatoes, and leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp back up.
